Curtains for long windows
Newer homes often have taller ceilings than in days past. Most off-the-shelf curtain panels are sold in a standard 84" length which fit up to a 7˝ foot room. What to do when you can't afford custom drapery for your 8-10 foot ceilings? Consider using table cloths! There are many choices available in table cloths measuring anywhere from 60x104 to 60x130". Some are thick enough to stand alone while those made of thinner fabrics may require a lining. Alternately, if you can sew, you can consider adding a coordinating fabric band to a shorter ready-made panel.
